Dear Dr. Shaheda Obaed On behalf of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy I am pleased to inform you that you have been offered a position also on the forthcoming Program: The Annual Conference on Cultural Diplomacy in the UN “ The Influence of New US and UN Leadership on International Relations, Economic Development, Innovation, New Markets, & Global Human Rights” (New York City; January 10th – 14th, 2017). About the Program: The 2016 US Presidential Election and the UN Secretary General Election represent the start of a new era in the most influential governance institutions of the modern world. The policies and strategies that will be decided and launched in the next months will influence every aspect of future international relations, the global economy, human rights and environmental issues of every country around the world. The expectations for positive developments are high and indeed the opportunities for leading the world to a more balanced situation between States, as well as within states and with their citizens await to be pursued. In light of these transitions, the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy has launched the “Global Summit on Cultural Diplomacy in the United Nations” which will be a major event in the field of cultural diplomacy hosted and organized by ICD in partnership with other leading institutions. The event will bring together leading politicians, senior diplomats, celebrated artists, senior academics, and religious leaders and will focus on The Influence of New US and UN Leadership on International Relations, Economic Development, Innovation, New Markets, & Global Human Rights. Your Registration to the program will then be completed once you have transferred the participation cost of 345 Euros/ Person (or 400 USD) to the ICD. This should be done within the next 10 days. The fees do not include travel and accommodation or any other related cost you may have. **** Accommodation in NYC The ICD is happy to book accommodation for participants for their time in NYC in a hotel, located in NYC Center. The ICD is able to book this accommodation for the following rates: First Class Hotels (Single Room) – 150 Euro per night including breakfast. Four Star Hotel (Single Room) – 110 Euro per night including breakfast. Budget Accommodation –

**** Official invitation letter- The ICD is able to send an official invitation letter confirming your position on the program. Please note, that this letter can only be sent once the participation cost has been successfully transferred (The ICD does not send invitation letters prior to the participation fee payment). Please note that letters are sent to participants only via email as a signed, printable PDF document. Should you wish to receive a hard copy of your invitation letter via post, you are required to transfer the additional postage costs together with the participation cost. These costs are €5 (or 6 USD) (standard delivery, 8-14 working days, pending on destination), €10 (or 12 USD) (registered) and €70 (or 82 USD) ( express posting, 2-3 working days). **** Participants papers – The ICD is welcoming participants of the program to submit papers/presentations on subjects related to the program. The papers can cover any topic within these fields, according to your own particular interests and passions. Participants can submit work that they have completed in the past for other purposes, ongoing research or a paper written specifically for the program. Groups also allowed to submit collaborative pieces of work. The papers submitted will be all distributed during the event, published online on the event’s webpage, along with all the event’s documentation, as selected papers will be presented as well during the event.
